How this venue plays

The roof here can be open or closed, so this venue is two environments in one. Closed, it behaves like a dome and weather drops out of the projection entirely. Open, the game is exposed to whatever the forecast brings. That decision is usually made close to kickoff, which makes this one of the harder venues to read early in the week.

The field is artificial turf, which plays faster and more consistently than natural grass, particularly in wet conditions where a grass surface degrades through the game.
